Jewish Nevada is proud to announce that the following members of the community have been selected to receive awards at our upcoming Annual Meeting on January 9th, at The Adelson Educational Campus, the event will start at 6:30pm. Our recognition of these individuals is in light of their commitment and dedication to the growth and vitality of our community:
Ben Wegener - David L. Simon Young Leadership Award
Sponsored by the David L. Simon Foundation this distinction is awarded to a young professional who has demonstrated commitment to the Jewish community through involvement, leadership, and personal achievements. Candidates must be between the ages of 25-40 and demonstrate commitment and dedication to Jewish life, community and Israel.
Cantor Jessica Hutchings - Jewish Communal Professional of the Year
This award is presented to an outstanding community professional and is awarded with a $1,000 cash prize to be donated to a Jewish Organization of their choice .
Brad Goldberg - Mensch Volunteer of the Year
This award is presented to an outstanding volunteer and is awarded with a $1,000 cash prize to be donated to a Jewish organization of their choice.
Rabbi Schneur Hayes - Jewish Educator of the Year
This award is presented to an outstanding educator and is awarded with a $1,000 cash prize to be used towards continuing education.
