Edythe Katz Yarchever z"l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Edythe Katz Yarchever, Zichrona Livracha, a passionate and devoted member of our Jewish community; as well as a dedicated leader of our Jewish Federation and many important Jewish causes here in Las Vegas and around the world.  Edythe was the first Women’s Philanthropy Chair for the Jewish Federation as well as the founder of the Sperling Kronberg Mack Holocaust Resource Center and the Chairwoman of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Education Relating to the Holocaust.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Katz family at this difficult time; with the hope that Edythe's life, deeds and memory will always serve as a source of Brachot (blessings) and Mitzvot (good deeds); and that the Katz Family will be comforted amongst all the mourners of Zion.

Funeral services and burial will be on Thursday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at King David.
