I am pleased to inform you that our Jewish Federation will be a sponsor of the May 1^st First Friday in Downtown Las Vegas as part of a special effort by the First Friday organizers and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.  For the first time, the Jewish community will be represented at First Friday with a special Taste of Shabbat booth organized by our Jewish Federation.  Please see the attached program description.  Funding for the Jewish Federation’s participation is from a special grant received last year from the Brenden Mann Foundation for outreach and engagement activities.  Our Taste of Shabbat booth at First Friday is the result a lot of work by JewEL leaders Sara Steinberg and Lauralie Ezra with professional support from Marni Unger, our Director of Leadership and Community Development.  If you are downtown at First Friday on May 1^st please look for our Jewish Federation booth and join us for a Taste of Shabbat!
