JewEL hosts Power Player with NV Supreme Court Justice Michael Cherry

JewEL kicked off their annual Power Player series with Nevada Supreme Court Justice, Michael Cherry, on January 26th at 6pm. More than 35 young Jewish adults gathered to hear from Justice Cherry about his life, career, and Jewish Journey at the D Hotel and Casino on Fremont. JewEL's Power Player series brings together young Jewish professionals (ages 22-45) with successful Jewish entrepreneurs, industry, and government men and women together with ambitious, young professionals in an intimate, relaxed environment.

Justice Cherry spoke not only about his impressive career in Law and Government, but also about his dedicated and committed involvement in the Las Vegas Community. "Justice Cherry has sat on every major board of Jewish Organizations and agencies in Las Vegas," noted David Gould, JewEL Board Member and Power Player Chair. "He also has a strong record of involvement and support of civil rights groups and other social justice causes." 

Justice Cherry has been a vital and integral part of building the Las Vegas Jewish Community, from participating in BBYO in High School to being the chairman of just about every board possible, the Las Vegas Jewish Community owes Justice Cherry an immense thank you. "Justice Cherry has certainly set the standard high for community leadership," noted Dr. Azin Azma, JewEL Vice Chair. "I was very inspired by his dedication to our community and to his profession. This was a great event." 

JewEL's Power Player series continues every month through June.
