What is PJ Library?

We don't need to tell you that reading to your children is important. Study after study has shown it impacts a child’s development. Even the mere presence of books in a home increases the level of education they can reach.

But finding the right books and making the time to read as a family can be hard. That’s where PJ Library comes in.

PJ Library sends free Jewish children's books to families across the world every month. We know that something magical happens when parents sit down together to read with their children. PJ Library shares Jewish stories that can help your family talk together about values and traditions that are important to you.

A program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, PJ Library is made possible through a partnership with Jewish Nevada as well as philanthropists from across the nation. Families raising kids from birth through 8 years old with Judaism as part of their lives, are welcome to sign up. PJ Library welcomes all Jewish families, whatever your background, knowledge, family make-up, or observance may be.

PJ Library also offers activities for your family — because you’ve got to get out of the house and meet new people sometimes. Make sure to check out our Facebook page for all of our upcoming programs.

What is PJ Our Way?

PJ Our Way is the I next chapter of PJ Library for kids ages 9-12. It is available free of charge throughout the US and Canada families raising Jewish children. Every month, kids can login to the PJ Our Way site to choose the book they want to receive. Kids can also submit reviews and videos about the books.

The PJ Our Way platform also allows kids to do trivia, rate the books they've read, leave video reviews and connect with other kids about their favorite PJ Our Way books.

What does PJ stand for?

Pajamas! We know those special times of reading, dancing and singing together happen when your children are wearing their pajamas.

Who is eligible to register?
