In an increasingly technological environment, the simple act of connecting in person is being lost. We may find ourselves living behind our walls – both physically, in our homes, and socially, tethered to our devices. Without personal interaction and a free exchange of ideas, this allows us to forget that despite our circumstances, we are not so different from each other. Humans are social animals and have an inherent need to belong and feel connected. Unfortunately, there are increasingly less opportunities available where and when that happens.
