Ormat's journey began in 1965 when the visionary couple, Lucien and Dita Bronicki, founded Ormat Turbines Ltd. in Yavne, Israel. Motivated by the pollution he witnessed from coal power plants in northern France after World War II, Lucien dedicated himself to clean energy solutions. The Bronickis' legacy includes the development of the Organic Rankine Cycle, the founding of Ormat Technologies, Inc., and significant ventures into geothermal power generation. They achieved a groundbreaking milestone by financing the first geothermal power plant entirely through private means. Beyond their technical achievements, the Bronickis’ have also made a lasting impact on communities through educational programs in the regions where they operate. Their pioneering spirit and entrepreneurial drive have been pivotal in the success and innovation of Ormat Technologies.

At Ormat's Steamboat complex, you will find our new state-of-the-art air-cooled binary technology, that doesn’t produce steam. From the moment you step foot on the premises, you'll be captivated by the sight of the state-of-the-art facility and the impressive infrastructure harnessing geothermal energy from deep within the Earth's crust.

Following the tour, join us for a private conversation with Paul Thomsen, Vice President of Business Development. He will delve into the role of renewable energy in shaping our future, exploring topics ranging from sustainability and climate change to the challenges and opportunities facing the renewable energy sector.
Please RSVP for each event you plan to attend.
